4 Things To Avoid If You Want To Cancel Poverty Curses And Align With Biblical Prosperity Blessings

Discussing The Most Common Reasons That People Cannot Crack The Curse Of Poverty and Receive Their Promised Prosperity

Debt, financial instability, and living paycheck to paycheck are all manifestations of the curse of poverty.  Many people miss God’s blessings of abundance because they are distracted by the noise surrounding prosperous Christian and Jewish people.   The Bible shows that everything comes from a seed from front to back (Genesis to Revelations).  Plants, animals, and people all come from seeds.  Favor, honor, wisdom, and faith also come from seeds.

Satan is not attacking the majority of us with the concept of whether or not we can plant a physical seed (like a watermelon or an apple seed), and it will grow because we are physically very familiar with this seed time and harvest principle.  Contrarily, he is attacking the seed time and harvest principles of the spiritual realm.  Many people have been deceived into thinking that they can sow a seed with the heart of pride and receive what a person did who sowed with a humble heart.  Many people have been deceived into thinking that they do not need to sow to reap or they are fearful of sowing from areas that would remove idolatry, yolks, or express honor from a place of true reliance on God.  Jesus revealed the attack on our seeds in many of his parables, but specifically in the parable of the sower in Matthew 13.  When he explained the Parable in Matthew 13:19-23, he said:

“When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside.  But he who received the seed on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy;  yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.  Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful.  But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

Satan’s biggest stronghold against Christian people is the curse of poverty.  We (the Christian Church) are having a hard time breaking out of poverty because there are so many attacks against God’s timing, God’s seed time and harvest principles, and whether or not we should apply the Old Testament principles to our lives even though Jesus completed our sacrifice for salvation.  Our secret…Jesus applied Old Testament principles and did not come to cancel the Old Testament, but to complete the covenant.  For this reason, Romans 8:3-4 says, “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,  that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.”

“The righteous requirement of the law should be fulfilled in us because we walk by the Spirit, so we are now capable.”

Many articles, news interviews, movies,  such as these simply complain without providing any biblical basis for their findings, or a person who applied their unshakeable faith that did not reap.  I read an article yesterday called, The Five Most Disturbing Things About Benny Hinn Miracle Service.  The title should have turned me away, but I chose to entertain it.  I wanted to understand why people speak so badly about a man of God that wears the visible signs of God’s favor.  The article was an opinion from beginning to end.  It had no biblical rebbuttals, no proof that any person of faith did not receive from God in the services, and the person who wrote the article had not sat thru an entire service.  The writer was obviously biased when she went to the meeting, “proved” her biases (in her opinion), and claimed to have left because of anger about the blasphemy (biblically unproven) at the service.

I personally can relate to reasoners because I have attempted to reason many supernatural things that cannot be reasoned.  When you try to reason supernatural things, it is impossible.  It is impossible to reason how God does many of the miracles that take place.  The healing of a blind person cannot be reasoned, the deliverance from demons cannot be reasoned, and similarly, seed time and harvest cannot be reasoned.  Once you have the revelation of God’s omnipotence, and you begin to sow seeds in faith with an assignment, you will be able to reap greater than what you’ve sown.

When you doubt, you revert back to the Deuteronomy 28:38 curse.  It says, “You will sow much seed in the field but you will harvest little, because locusts will devour it.”  Line up in actions of obedience with the Old Testament laws; understanding that Jesus has paid the price for your access to these blessings.  He is your King and you HAVE to line up to receive your citizenship benefits.  You have to sow to reap. Sowing goes beyond money and can be good or bad. You can sow injustice and reap calamity (Proverbs 22:8). You can sow revelation and reap loyalty. You can sow a compliment and reap honor. In my article, Achieving Prosperity: How To Know What To Sow, I talked about different seeds that you can sow.  You DO NOT only have to sow money, BUT because money is such an honorable and revered thing to most people, money is a symbol of a sacrificial offering yielded to support the Kingdom of God.

What makes sowing and reaping more or less effective is the heart (the intent) behind why you put the principles to work.  Leaders can be wrong for asking for offerings for the wrong reasons, but this is where we get out of line…

“We cannot judge hearts, therefore, the judgement of hearts and intent is solely on God.”

When we listen to people that slander pastors for asking for a seed, typically, they try to claim that their intent is wrong.  They say, “He is trying to get rich off of their members’ money”, ” He wants to ride around in a Rolls Royce while his members are poor”, and they make other comparable slanderous comments.  One prosperity principle is written in Ecclesiastes 11:1.  It says, “Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days.”  In modern days, this principle has been translated to say, “multiple streams of income leads to prosperity”.  Many commentators do not know the multiple streams of income that successful pastors receive.  Many of them have lots of intellectual property and investments that yield an income in addition to donations given to them as gratitude gifts from recipients of revelation that God has used them to distribute.

I have personally seen wealthy pastors that have poor members.  Their responsibility is to be a witness of the power of God, to fulfill the great commission, and lead in the ways of the Lord.  Commentators are wrong for placing the responsibility to rid church attendees (regardless of their own application of taught principles) of poverty.  They are to transmit revelation to their members.  When money is a handout (as many suggest pastors should apply), they will increase the statistic of those with the entitlement mentality with no work ethic, and fall into the curse of poverty for misusing what they have been trusted by God to steward.

Contrarily, there are false prophets out there.  Some people will look at the potential to gain from the seed time and harvest principles.  Satan attempts to counterfeit everything!  For good food, he adds poison that defiles the whole thing.  For every industry, he plants a wolf in sheep’s clothes.  Jesus told us how to discern the difference, he said:

“You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.  A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.  Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20)

We honor God and dedicate our seeds to God, and He judges. We are judged for our heart to give or to withold, but once we have opened the fist, the recipient is judged for their multiplication of that increase.  Galatians 6:8 says, “Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.”

  • Do not ride on some of the ingredients of prosperity (but not all)

Prosperity requires faith, work, and obedience to the Kingdom Laws.  You cannot have one of them, but you need to have ALL of them.  You cannot say, “I’m believing God for abundance”, but your led by your flesh.  You need to mature spiritually to receive abundance.  Lust of your own flesh promotes unnecessary purchases, envy encourages you to join coaching programs to attain what they have, rather than seeking wisdom.  Be honest with yourself, face your flesh, crucify it, and stir all of the ingredients for prosperity into your life.  As you grow in the revelation of God’s omnipotence in your life and the lives of others, you will grow in your ability to operate in the inheritance of Christ.  Similar to walking in divine health, for living an abundant life, you need more than faith.  For healing, deliverance, miracles, or even an unexpected check, you can receive them with faith, but for a supernatural lifestyle, you need to crucify your flesh, and abide in the glory of God.  Faith is a currency given by God and activated by revelation.  You must know the omnipotence of God and that He alone is doing the work (not you), abandon the ideas that your prayers reflect anything on your reputation, and allow God to do His work.

  • Do not entertain doubters and allow doubt to set in them

When Satan wants to bring physical infirmity, he pursues the things that you take in: media, food, relationships (especially sexual ones), cosmetics.  He can use a small pill or a bite of a demon possessed animal that becomes a main course on your plate to kill, so you must be careful and give thanks to God for the cancellation of Satan’s tactics before eating.  Similarly, when Satan wants to cancel the blessings of abundance, he brings situations that would invoke complacency, tragedy, unexpected expenses, low self image, things that can be used to steal your time (TV, internet, gossip, etc.), and other things that appeal to the flesh (unnecessary shopping, desires of family members, etc.).  One simple slanderous comment can reshape your perspective on the person that may be bringing your blessing.  One membership or one coaching session where your funds are transferred and used as a seed to support the kingdom of darkness can plant a deeply rooted seed of doubt.  Consecrate yourself!  Realize that everything begins spiritually first.

  • Do not give seeds of doubt rather than seeds of faith

Do not give from the mentality that “I’m going to try this”.  Instead, say, “This seed of __________ is being planted ____________ to do ______________”.  Give as a demonstration of faith; not because God needs something from you.  When you bow to God, when you raise, you see His glory unlike you have before on you, so you learn to keep bowing

  • Do not stay stuck on asking and receiving, but also seek and find

In Matthew 7:7, Jesus said, ” “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”  Many people are asking without seeking.  No not simply ask, but seek for your answer.  Proverbs 25:2 says, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.”  Seek out the matters that you have laid before God, he will show you the Way because He is the Way.  He is the Solution, so ask, seek, and knock.

  • Do not believe that curses are any less supernatural than blessings

Many people understand the divine connection between God and blessings, but they have reformatted His character, and they don’t understand that He rebukes with His divine punishment.  In Deuteronomy 28, he spoke thru Moses providing us with the choice for life and death.  If you live paycheck to paycheck, you have debt, or you live impoverished, you must seek Jesus; understanding that He is THE solution.  He paid with His life, so that the curses that culminate from your choices, your family ties, associations, or your leaders can be cancelled with the allegience to the Kingdom of Heaven.  All you must do is recognize that Jesus is King, He died and rose again, so that you could have a solution to all of the enemy attacks in your life, and repent (acknowledge your wrong deeds and change your actions to align with God’s word).  Just as blessings can be recognized, curses can also be recognized; they are not demonic activity, birth defects, or the flesh.  Rather, they are like a weight that is carried until you repent.  Curses disable you from maximizing your potential because you work and work with steady results.  If your experiencing poverty curses, you MUST call out to Jesus, recognize His payment for your salvation, and apply the blood as the payment for the debts of your sins.
