How To Create A Product Proposal For Yourself

7 Things To Include In A Product Plan That Will Guarantee Success

Book 3

Do you desire to transform your life by creating new products?  Maybe it is a book that you desire to create.  Maybe it is a video, a audio download, an App, or some other technology product that you would like to bring into the world.  Great!  I commend you!  The reality is that the world needs the gifts of everyone that has ever walked the face of the planet, and if we had the mark of each of us here, the world would be as God designed it.  Unfortunately some will submit to fear, some unforgiveness, some will submit to limiting beliefs, and the list goes on.  Do not be one of them!  This article gives you the information that you need to plan for your next product, and leave your mark for many to be blessed.

Begin this product with the end in mind. In doing so, there are several things that you should consider to ensure that you are maximizing the potential of your creative time.  Here are the things the you should consider with this product:

  • Who Is The Project For?

Identify who the project is for. Is the project for a client, for your boss, or for a family member. This will dictate how you identify the needs because everybody’s needs are different. Also, this is a great starting point for a project to accomplish task #1.

  • Why Does The Market Need The Project?

Why is the project needed. Is the project for the market, and therefore you need to define the solution the project is providing. This is essential, because once you can identify the needs of the project you can develop the rest of the process. The need will allow you to identify the solution to solve the need.

  • What Is The Timeline?

Develop a timeline for the project. When is the final project due? Once this is identified, then you can create different milestones. Milestones are essential so that you can stay on track and on pace to meet a deadline. Also, it helps in breaking the larger project goal into simpler more manageable tasks. This will assist in continuing to move the project forward.

  • Who Is The Competition?

When developing a project you want to know who the competition is and who else is doing what you are trying to accomplish. If you are providing a solution, are there current solutions in the market? If so, how can you better them? Also, if there are others doing your project, then there is no sense in reinventing the wheel. Look to others for how to accomplish the goal, but make the solution better.

  • Why Are You Different?

Defining why you are different is essential, because if there is no difference then there is not much point to accomplish the project. Define your differences and why your project is needed. This will clearly focus why you are trying to accomplish this particular project. Also, the differentiation will become your competitive advantage when the project is complete.

  • What Is The End Goal?

Start from the end of the project. Define what the end goal is and work backwards from there. This will give you an idea of what you are trying to accomplish and then you can define the other goals along the way. The end goal can come from a curiosity or an observation, but you want to have a reason to begin a project.

  • Find a Picture that Represents your end goal

Find a picture.  Maybe it is you in front of a crowd.  Maybe the picture will be people using your product and experiencing transformation.  Maybe you desire to be a bestseller.  Whatever the end goal is, find a picture, cut it out, and place it where you will see it the most frequently.  If possible, place it in many places, so that you can see it often.  Look at the picture often to remind yourself of the end goal.
