Ezekiel 37 Commentary: The Regathering in The End Times vs. The Exodus

ezekial 37

The end times regathering is way under-discussed, but it is the climax of the gospel, the peak of the Bible, and it marks fulfillment of all of Bible prophecy.  Yeshua will reign eternally over Heaven and Earth as the absolute authority in the end!  Many are far too comfortable dwelling on the death and resurrection, and are ill-prepared for the completion of the Bible story.  Don’t get me wrong, the resurrection was VITAL to the fulfillment of prophecy, but it was not the end of Earth’s manifestations of God’s plans–Ezekiel 37 tells us that.

ezekial 37The Rapture, Grace, and the Regathering

The idea that the Western church will be raptured prior to persecution is the most common Christian viewpoint of our day.  Most people are not prepared for the end times regathering of God’s people.  To be honest, I am still digesting it all too; the end times regathering is vast, miraculous, and breathtaking.  Most believe that by grace they are able to transcend any obstacles, however, the hyper-grace church shows no distinguished characteristics from the world apart from vocabulary.

I don’t say any of this to be harsh or inconsiderate of anyone’s emotional ties to their grace teaching or hyper-grace church.  I believe that the hyper-grace teaching is a vital building block that enables the 2 Thessalonians 2:3 “great falling away” to happen.  This teaching diminishes the importance of the words of Yahweh, tells us that there are no requirements of our actions, makes us believe that we can live however, but because we have professed our faith, we are saved.  What a deception?!!!

The Effect of Mainstream End Times Teaching on Christians Today

With this type of deception, people are ill-prepared for the biblical prophesy to manifest, and the end times regathering of God’s people: the climax of the whole Bible.  When I engage with most Christian people, I find that they have not read enough of their Bible to support their position.  It’s sad and unfortunate.  They have watched pre-tribulation movies such as Left Behind, read books by Tim Lahaye, or sit under a pastor who has.  Most have gorged on one pastor’s perception of scripture, and unfortunately, most pastors are doing the same thing.

ezekial 37 If they have read their Bibles, they have little knowledge of the biblical context that the author was writing.  They are unfamiliar with the Hebrew idioms used by the New covenant authors, and make doctrines based on their western perceptions and their brief reading of the Bible like a storybook, rather than chewing the Word, attempting to understand the historical setting or explore the native language, the culture, slang, and well-known milestones of the audience.

The gospel message seems to stop at the death and resurrection, leaves out how to demonstrate faith thru deeds, the end times regathering, the two houses of Israel becoming one again, Yeshua’s return, banishment of evil on Judgement day, and the eternal reign of Messiah.  I have found MANY atheists or gnostics that have studied the Bible and don’t convert because of minor misunderstandings coupled with the lackadaisical, unrealistic, non-resistant of sin or prevailing evil “Christian” approach that prevails in the Western World today.

My Conversation with a Five-Percenter on Christianity Today

Just yesterday, I had a very interesting conversation with a five-percenter (a religion that teaches man is god) who had an ill-perception of Christianity as being powerless and non-sensible.  He quoted scripture.  He knew what the Bible’s end times forecast looked like.  He described to me how the world is preparing for the coming disaster (tribulation) and while our American election looks horrendous, our education system is swamped with pagan influence, and racism is spun up across America, Christians maintain their lackadaisical stance saying, “God is gonna take care of it” as if there are no requirements in their deeds.  I told him, “There is a remnant who is set apart who are not lackadaisical like the prevalent “Christian”.

It pains me that “Christianity” has become this pool of deception that you have to sort thru like a needle in a haystack to find truth.  What a horrific illusion the western church is giving off!  In a previous post, I called it the “Laodiciean” or “lukewarm church”.  They believe in faith without its demonstration thru deed.  On the bright side, there is a remnant and she is rising.  She is set apart.  She is not the instituionalized church, and she may not be found in a church building, but she is rising.  I see the remnant more and more everyday.  She loves the words and instructions of Yahweh more than a spouses love letters, she looks different than the status quo.  She speaks with great wisdom.  I see her rising.  I want to stay as a part of her, so I run the race, cut away my flesh, and strive to please God in word and deed.  Be a part of the remnant with me!

The Biblical View on Grace and Faith

ezekial 37Contrary to popular teaching, God required faith demonstrated by deed.  If politics look crazy, start teaming up, doing press releases, seminars, and getting your voice heard to place the person with the greatest biblical worldview where they are supposed to be.  If racism is getting spun up, start educating, speaking up, and demonstrating God’s will in action.  Christians are not supposed to be on the sidelines while atheists or rocks (earthquakes, natural disasters, etc.) are crying out in our place!  Archaeology is speaking more truth than churches nowadays (at least the institutionalized ones I see).

In my previous post, Bible Study: Storing His Word in Your Heart To Stand Firm in The End Times, I wrote about how to dive deeper into the Word of God in preparation for the increase of apostasy foretold of the end times.  Let’s pull back all four layers in our Bible study so we can rightfully apply Yahweh’s words to our lives!

What Jesus Told us About The End Times

Yeshua told us the end times would be like the times of Noah.  He said, “But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”  Plagues are coming!  Although we may pray to be raptured before they come, it is safe to say that scripture does not explicitly rule out other outlooks that propose the people of God will be here during increased persecution, the time of the Antichrist, and possibly for some plagues.  I am not dogmatic on my end times sequence of events because it has not yet manifested, however, I do pray for the pre-trib and prepare for what I believe the Bible actually says, “pre-wrath”.

Alot of the pre-tribulationists who know something about why they ride on their position confuse the wrath and the tribulation.  They quote scripture to say, “We are not appointed for God’s wrath”, and I agree.  However, God’s wrath (trumpet and bowl judgments) and tribulation (seals) are different.

The Bible reveals similarity between how Yahweh delivered the people of God from judgement plagues (like Egypt in Exodus, Noah and family in Genesis, and Lot in Sodom and Gomorrah), the future plagues, and end times regathering of God’s people.  There are recurring shadows of judgement and God’s miraculous intercession throughout the Bible.  From what I’ve seen, there are no shadows of God’s people being removed from tribulation by rapture, but there are shadows where they are distinguished.  Similar to how He has brought His people from different periods of captivity in history, Yahweh will also gather the house of Israel and the house of Judah (who Yeshua’s followers have been grafted into) at the end times regathering, and bring them to their inheritance.

Matthew 24 on The End Times Regathering

ezekial 37Some scripture references describing this miraculous end times regathering or Greater Exodus say:

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

(Matthew 24:29-31)

Jeremiah 23 on The End Times Regathering

Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.

In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, The Lord Our Righteousness.

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that they shall no more say, The Lord liveth, which brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

But, The Lord liveth, which brought up and which led the seed of the house of Israel out of the north country, and from all countries whither I had driven them; and they shall dwell in their own land.

(Jeremiah 23:5-8)

Ezekiel 37 on The End Times Regathering

And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and will gather them on every side, and bring them into their own land:

And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all.

Neither shall they defile themselves any more with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions: but I will save them out of all their dwelling places, wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them: so shall they be my people, and I will be their God.

And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: they shall also walk in my judgments, and observe my statutes, and do them.

And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, even they, and their children, and their children’s children for ever: and my servant David shall be their prince for ever.

Moreover I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them: and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for evermore.

My tabernacle also shall be with them: yea, I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

And the heathen shall know that I the Lord do sanctify Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for evermore.

(Ezekiel 37:21-28)

What These Three Passages Mean To You

To make a long story short, God plan is to gather all of Israel and all of Judah to himself for His eternal reign.  The division between the two that began after King Solomon’s reign will be no longer when He has gathered His covenant-keeping people from among the nations.  This end times regathering does not take place painlessly however (despite what many may have told you).

Revelations tells us of seven seals that will be broken prior to this great end times regathering.  Yeshua also told us of the same signs that will manifest before He returns to regather the two houses and reign on the Earth (Matthew 24:3-30). These events that we have been warned about by Yeshua, John, and many of the other prophets appear very comparable to the Exodus plagues in their purpose, miraculous manifestation, and scope of influence.  They are revealed to separate the holy from the unholy, to allow us to demonstrate the depths of our love for God thru perseverance,  and to give a reality check and time for unbelievers to come to repentance.

The Exodus vs. The Regathering Comparison

ezekial 37Similar to how Moses and the Israelites, Noah and his family, and Lot and his family were distinguished during many of the plagues (contingent on their obedience to Yahweh’s instructions), it is going to be pertinent for us to adhere to His instructions to stay in His protective covering and participate in the end times regathering; void of the end times turmoil and increasing darkness.  The signs that we must persevere thru are:

  • The rise of false prophets, false teachers, deceivers, many saying “I am Messiah”
  • Many deceived
  • Fear, wars, and rumors of wars, nation against nations, kingdom against kingdom
  • Famines, pestilence, and earthquakes in varying places
  • Persecution and hatred of God’s people for Yeshua’s namesake
  • A lot of betrayal and hatred to one to another
  • Lawlessness and little allegiance to Yahweh
  • The gospel reaches the whole world
  • Abomination of desolation in the Most Holy Place
  • Judaea residents flee to the mountains
  • Tribulation
  • Miracles from false prophets and false messiahs
  • Sun and moon darkened and stars fall from the sky after tribulation
  • Son of Man appears
  • Regathering of covenant-keepers

Revisiting Revelation 13 to Lay The Backdrop for The Regathering

As we discussed before about the Revelation 13 beast system, Mystery Babylon, and the False Prophet, their effectiveness will grow as foretold in the Revelation of Yeshua to John.  It’s my belief that the United Nations is resurrecting the slain British Empire (eighth head of the beast).  The one world government ruler will rise.  The beast heads consists of Egypt, Assyria, Medo-Persia, Greece, Babylon, Rome, and Great Britain/United Nations.  Throughout the 5000 year life of the beast, he has done HORRIFIC things to people: slavery, boiling people alive, aborted countless babies, throwing people from mountains, rape, human trafficking, sexual exploitation, eugenics, mutilations, economic warfare thru debt, chemical warfare such as food poisoning and vaccinations, genetic modification and so much more.  The Bible tells us that this final rise of the beast system will be worse.  If you have not read my previous posts that build up to this one, check them out:

Similar to the Israelites time in Egypt, they began with cordial relations because of Joseph’s relationship to Pharaoh, and his wisdom regarding Pharaoh’s dream.  God’s people have lived across the world predominately in peace (with persecution distributed) for many years now.  The beast system has inflicted many deaths and initiated many wars.  They have sparked World Wars 1 and 2, the Civil War, many wars for independence, many purposed diseases, many chemical distributions such as fluoride in water and pesticides in food, and many many more things dependent on how far back you decide to study their influence.

How The New World Order Hostility Could Play Out Explained

ezekial 37They have allied with organizations such as the Knights Templars, the Rosicrucians, the Rothschilds and world bankers, the Roman Catholic Church, the Mafia, the Illuminati, the Freemasons and secret societies, the United Nations, the Trilateral Commission, the Council on Foreign Relations, many world religions, world kings, world trade, world militaries, world media, world education systems, world science, the world medical industry, the pluralist and New Age idea, and many many more.  However, the End times rise of the beast system will be different in scope of influence.  The scope of the beast’s influence will be greater than any other rise preceding his end times rise.  What they have now will expand.

*Sidenote: Remember, in his rise as the British empire before he was wounded by World wars 1 and 2, he controlled every world nation with the exception of 22 nations.  By the completion of end times events, it will be absolute.*

Revelations 13:6-8 says, “And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.  And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.  And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

In other words, the beast system is going to affect all of Earth’s inhabitants.  They will wield a similar power over them as was done in Egypt.  The kingdom of darkness thru the beast system will begin cordially with the white horsemen speaking of rulership and lessening personal liberties for world peace, then they will increasingly become more and more harsh towards God’s people as was done when the Israelites were in Egypt.  Then, similar to the plagues that fell on Egypt, Yahweh will show Himself thru plagues to the nations, but will distinguish His people.  Then, as was done in the flood and in Exodus, Yahweh will miraculously regather His covenant-keeping people from all of the nations, and He will be our eternal righteous King.  Isn’t this a beautiful story-ending we have to look forward to?

Action Steps:

ezekial 37

  1. Resist the forward movement of the New World Order system
  2. Fight the information war that the media is largely winning by distributing skewed facts and partial truths
  3. Tell others the whole gospel including the prophetic aspects about Yeshua’s return and judgement on the beast system.
  4. Distinguish yourself from amongst those who call themselves “Christian” by setting aside time for Yahweh, setting aside the status quo, and learning about the pagan infiltration of Christianity.  Separate from the pagan aspects of Christianity that have been handed down thru generations.
  5. Restore yourself back to biblical customs only (holy days, a Torah lifestyle, modesty, godly character, and multiplication of the whole gospel in others)
  6. Read Exodus 10-12.  Notice how the people had to be listening to Moses instructions.  We will also have to read and be attentive to his instructions as well.  They are not simply the past, but they provide prophetic as well as strategic insight about our future.  Prepare for the end times regathering of God’s people in spirit and in truth.
  7. Read Matthew 24.
  8. Begin to prune away things that distract you from communing with Yahweh.

  1. I came back to God in 1990 through a study about the book of Revelation and the end of times. So it’s a subject that is ringing a bell with me.

As for God’s grace, it’s true that, preaching it, can call to confusion to many, since we are not justified by what we do but by what Christ did for us.

But the grace of God never was a license to continue to live in sin. Paul was really clear about this.

That doesn’t mean that we are going to be perfect either, being all what God wants us to be.

It’s a concept that can be hard to grasp sometime.

I personally compare sin to smoking cigarette, or for an alcoholic, as drinking alcohol.

If you were free from nicotine or from the obsession to drink, it would be kinda foolish to go back to it. Because you know by doing so, you will lose that freedom that you had from those things.

Paul is doing a similar comparison with sin. That’s how I can understand it better personally.

I know I still have many things that are not quite right with me, but I keep my faith and hope in Him that, this good work He has begun in me, He will also finish the day Christ return!

I love the way you explained it Guy!  Sin can definitely be likened to a bad addiction.  We all have things we are working to improve, and with Jesus as a great example for us, we can continue to strive forward.  Sending blessings your way!
