Is There A Such Thing As Holy and Unholy Division?

Discussing Holy and Unholy Division and Taking Back Our Identity As Ambassadors

division

I have seen many Bible teachers stop teaching a vital topic because they see division.  Topics such as the ten commandments, the law, and sin are completely avoided because of the consequence that they cause: division.  The laws of God cause division of what’s holy from what’s unholy.

Without the laws of God, the Torah (the first five books of the Bible), there is no biblical definition for sin.  Without the laws of God, we have a weak strategy of how to navigate in the light of God away from the growing end-time attacks of Satan.  The law keeps you away from Satan’s land mines.  I always say, “It is better to go to Heaven over-prepared than to succumb to a man’s interpretation, and arrive to Heaven unsatisfactorily”.  1 John 3:4 says, “Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness.”  When you do research to find out what law is being referenced in 1 John 3:4, you will find that it is referencing the Torah; not New Testament scriptures.  Let’s stick with the Bible’s definition of sin, and rid it from our lives!

Paul’s fruits of the flesh written in Galatians 5 have become many Pastor’s and laity’s excuse for accepting ecumenism (the teaching that we can accept all religions among us to maintain the exterior veneer of peace), aligning with the unrighteous, and abandoning the laws of God.  It says, “And it is perfectly evident what the old nature does. It expresses itself in sexual immorality, impurity and indecency; involvement with the occult and with drugs; in feuding, fighting, becoming jealous and getting angry; in selfish ambition, factionalism, intrigue and envy; in drunkenness, orgies and things like these. I warn you now as I have warned you before: those who do such things will have no share in the Kingdom of God!”

Those who call themselves “Christian” have become compromised by the false doctrine of Ecumenism and lukewarm Christianity rather than holy division.   Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. ”  Many have a false idea about how the Bible instructs us to be involved with those that oppose the laws of God and our enemies.  Many people believe that because the Bible says “turn the other cheek”, that we are supposed to overlook unrighteous acts (even when they are life-threatening) and respond in love.  They teach that a firm stance on truth is unloving, and creating union with people who are unwilling to receive truth is evangelism.  Not true!

Yeshua was not raising a group of punks or people who are passive about everything and stand firmly for nothing.  In Luke 22:38, you will find that the disciples were armed with swords when Judas led the crowd to betray Yeshua, and they were not scolded by Messiah for having them.  Self-defense has its appropriate timing.  Resisting the enemy is our full-time job.  The Bible divides us even internally; separating our sin from our righteousness, and this is painful.  It taps emotions, our will, and our obedience preserves our eternal reward.  If the Word of God penetrates internally so much, how much more do you think it will divide when appropriated in a group?  Some will have zeal to appropriate God’s word immediately, and some will say, “I think that’s your interpretation”, or make other excuses.

The church of Pergamum had a similar problem as the Western church today: they did not want to correct, rebuke, or divide.  For reasons undisclosed, they kept people who held false doctrines among them.  Revelations 2:14-17 says:

“Nevertheless, I have a few things against you: There are some among you who hold to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to entice the Israelites to sin so that they ate food sacrificed to idols and committed sexual immorality.  Likewise, you also have those who hold to the teaching of the Nicolaitans (Hyper-grace teaching).  Repent therefore! Otherwise, I will soon come to you and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.  Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a white stone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.” (emphasis added)

Common in the Modern Church, when believers separate themselves to draw closer to God, they are wrongfully being called backsliders.  When they identify immorality (adultery, the Jezebel spirit, or Ahab) in the congregation, they are being called judgmental.  If the Kingdom of Heaven Ambassadors don’t stand up, the great falling away could be huge.  Yeshua desires for you and I to bring others into the narrow route which leads to Heaven.

The common form of Christianity that we see is a counterfeit.  What we see commonly today does not look like the Christianity taught in the Bible.  The word “church” is never found in the Hebrew or Greek manuscripts because it is a fabricated word which was inserted into the King James English edition of the Bible in the 1600’s.  The label “church” is being expoited by Luciferians, Christians, Muslims, and many other religions.  It was inserted in place of the Greek word ekklesia (ekklesia) which means the same thing as qahal (lhq)- a set apart assembly or congregation. Let me state that another way – the Hebrew word qahal means: “Set apart assembly, congregation” and the Greek word ekklesia means: “Set apart assembly, congregation.”  When properly translated, you can clearly see that we are supposed to be divided from amongst what is unholy.  We are supposed to be in the world (in physical presence), but not be of the world (in spiritual presence or by emulating their actions).

There is a difference between unholy factions (division) and holy division.  Let’s remember God’s first instruction “Let there be light”, then He separated darkness from light.  Let’s remember how he separated Israel from among the other nations as His chosen people.  Let’s remember how He separated clean animals from unclean animals.  He separates soul from Spirit with the sword of His Spirit.  He separates the foolish from the wise by the storage of their hearts.  Don’t be fooled when Satan says, “You’re not supposed to divide”.  No, you are not supposed to create unholy factions or groups separated and isolated by perversion and lies, but you are supposed to separate leaven from the dough.  Paul said:

“hand over such a person to the Adversary for his old nature to be destroyed, so that his spirit may be saved in the Day of the Lord.

Your boasting is not good. Don’t you know the saying, “It takes only a little hametz (leaven) to leaven a whole batch of dough?”  Get rid of the old hametz (leaven), so that you can be a new batch of dough, because in reality you are unleavened. For our Pesach lamb, the Messiah, has been sacrificed.”

When the law is taught, it divides truth seekers (the batch) from those who desire a form of godliness (leaven).  When the law is taught, it sheds light on how we can overcome the attacks of the adversary in hard times.  He is poisoning the food (which Leviticus 11 tells us how to overcome), he is breaking the family structure (which the ten commandments tells us how to overcome), he is teaching our children, and although the New Testament provides insight, the Torah gives the utmost instruction for how we can survive the turmultuos times arriving as the end times become more and more intense.  Be watchful!  Be prepared to divide truth from lies!  Don’t be defeated!  Some will choose to follow a lie and some will follow truth.  Do not feel bad because truth separate right and wrong, lukewarm from hot, and sin from righteousness.  Walk in truth, be the light, and be the salt!

Action Steps:

  1. Read your Bible
  2. Appropriate it in your life
  3. Be ready for those who say “You do not have to do that”
  4. Don’t compromise the Word of God!

Be blessed.
